Stewpot Kitchen - animated goblin cooks pixel pack + order UI
A downloadable asset pack
A goblin kitchen in side-view pixel art, for cooking, restaurant and cozy games. Marrow stirs the stewpot over the fire and Sprig chops at the block, while the stations cook on their own: fire, bubbles, steam and smoke each sit on a separate layer. There are 33 ingredient and dish icons for recipes and a wordless order-ticket UI. A small Godot 4.6 scene shows the whole loop: an order comes in, the cooks work, the dish is plated, the bell rings and the ticket is stamped SERVED.
Try it first: the free sample below has Marrow's idle (with all layers), the chopping block in all its states, eight icons, and the order ticket with its slots, timer, two step glyphs and the SERVED stamp.
What you get
- Two animated cooks. Marrow the head cook (56×64): idle and stir. Sprig the prep cook (56×64): idle and chop, in step with the block.
- Seven stations. Stew hearth (cold, simmer, boiling over), chopping block (idle, chop, done), bread oven (cold, baking, done), serving pass with a ringing bell, washtub, spice shelf (swaying herbs and garlic) and utensil rail.
- Cooks that work inside the stations. The hearth splits into a back and a front, and the cook stands between them, so the ladle goes into the stew and isn't pasted over it. The same goes for the block. Any cook can work any station, and the stations animate with nobody there.
- 33 icons (16×16, each its own file). They cover raw, prepared and finished food, so a recipe reads ingredient → step → dish: carrot → carrot coins → stew, fish → grilled fish, egg → fried egg, apple → apple pie, plus bread, sausages, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, a burnt dish, clean and dirty plates and a mug of cider.
- Order and recipe UI (30 pieces): order ticket, recipe card, ingredient slots (empty, ready, done), a timer with fresh/hurry/late fills, step glyphs (chop, stew, bake, wash, serve), SERVED / BURNT / MISSED stamps and small digits.
- Editable sources. Layered Aseprite files with every frame and tag, PNG frames, strips and layers, a
contents.jsonwith frame rates, holds and the cook-at-station offsets,.gplpalettes with four goblin skin swaps, a GIF of every animation, and the pixel sources that regenerate everything. - A Godot 4.6 example of the order loop (N/Enter new order, Space cook, A autoplay).
Good to know
- Side view. Every sprite stands on the bottom of its canvas, lit from the upper left, and the cooks face right. Not top-down: these won't line up with top-down tilesets.
- Same goblin family and scale as Goblin's Tinkers' Row, so the two kits can share a town.
- Drawn at 1×. Scale by whole multiples with nearest-neighbour filtering.
- The wall and floor in the pictures and the example are a simple backdrop, not part of the kit's art set. No sound is included.
- Tested in Godot 4.6.1 (GL Compatibility, Linux). The PNGs, strips and JSON are plain files any engine can use. Other engines weren't tested.
